Your Opportunity As an experienced team member with a minimum of 5 years of continuous office work, you'll step into a role that goes beyond the ordinary.
You'll be an important part of managing case workflows and deadlines, handling important government filings, all while being the hub of activity for a dynamic team of paralegals and case managers.
Your role as a problem solver and trusted team member will extend to helping ensure the success of your colleagues and the firm.
Key Responsibilities Report directly to the managing attorney, keeping them informed of work progress.
Review government filings prepared by staff members for accuracy and completeness.
Tracking case milestones and deadlines.
Data-entry and custom report generation using case management software.
Document preparation, formatting, and proofreading.
Scanning, printing, and collating documents.
Preparation of outgoing government submissions via FedEx and USPS.
Drafting very basic legal letters to clients.
Overall office organization and management (ordering supplies, coordinating with vendors, etc.
).
Qualifications Associate Degree or Paralegal Certification.
A minimum of five years of continuous, full-time experience working in an office.
At least one year of continuous, full-time experience working in a law office.
Command of MS Word (use of tables, headers/footers, hyperlinks, bookmarks, references, track-changes, etc).
Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro to manage PDF documents.
Required Skills Exceptional organization skills.
Effective prioritization of workload according to case needs and filing deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
Reliability, teamwork, and professionalism when interacting with clients and co-workers.
Proactive in getting work done and addressing issues before they become problems.
Familiarity with Office 365, G-Suite, or other cloud-based document environments.
Document preparation and management skills using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Must be proficient with PC laptops and the MS Windows environment.
